Here at the Hothouse we use Evans EC2 hazy tom heads.  We think and our poll verified our belief that Evans drum heads are the best.  The new Evans EC2 are the top of the line drum heads manufactured by Evans.  This new 2 ply tom heads feature an edge control ring that isolates and damps higher overtones, enhances low end and attack and enables broader tuning and dymanic ranges.  Unlike conventionally damped heads, the EC2 will not choke at higher tuning ranges or lose its full bodied presence when tuned low.  Aggressive adhesive secures EC ring to the underside of the head.  Stress relief slots prevent choking and the EC ring allows the head to vibrate over the bearing edge.  They’re expensive but you guys are worth it.

If you’re drummer looking for a rehearsal studio that cares about drum kits and their sound, Hothouse Rehearsal Studio is the place for you.
