Jessy infuses her spicy sax with two of the most recognized sax voices in the business…Paul Taylor and Marion Meadows.  This dynamic trio is joined by pianist, vocalist virtuoso, Joe McBride.

A $7,500 reward was being offered today for the return of five guitars belonging to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers that were stolen from a rehearsal hall at The Culver City Studios.  Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers are offering a $7500 reward with no questions asked to anyone with information leading to the recovery of the guitars.

The five guitars were reported stolen Thursday, and Petty and the band are set to open a tour Wednesday in Broomfield, Colo.

The stolen instruments include Petty’s blond 1967 12-string Rickenbacker 360 and his 1965 Gibson SGTVJunior, Mike Campbell’s sparkly blue Mike Campbell Model Dusenberg, Ron Blair’s Fender Broadcaster and Scott Thurston’s 1967 Epiphone Sheridan.

Culver City police Sgt. Allen Shepherd said he could only confirm the guitars were stolen from The Culver Studios, 9336 W. Washington Blvd., and that they belonged to Petty.

Living in a house full of males can be tough at times. My husband and three teenage sons are such sports fanatics that I can walk into any room in the house, all of which have televisions in them, at any given hour of any given day and the television will be tuned to a sports channel. So you can imagine my frustration and sheer shock when I peeked over my middle son’s shoulder as he was intently glued to his computer screen to find him searching for more sports channels on TVByDirect.com. I should not be upset about it though because not one of my boys misses his chores, makes a grade below a B on his report card, or is late for dinner around the table with family (although the family table thing is tough given their athletic schedules). They are sports heros at their school and are quite popular in the school clubs and with the girls. And on top of that, they are great Christian young men. So if I need to suffer through the testosterone in the house and deal with all the sports to have great sons who are model students, I will do so proudly!

The website itself is very well designed with pictures that grab the viewer’s attention with anything between sexy women all the way to far out pictures of aliens. The website Herbal City even has some outstanding pictures to get its point across of the potency of its product. The website even has the main rules that Herbal City goes by. The website Herbal City even uses product names that grab the viewers’ attention. The website gives you a great view of what product is available for its customers. I would say that Herbal City has the widest selection of herbal products available on the web. Herbal City has products strength that goes from the very mild to the extreme. My parents are really getting older but they still love to shop online. I know that sounds crazy but my mom picked up the habit a few years back when she was working as an assistant and didn’t have much to do and nowadays they buy about half the stuff they have online! They even order their groceries off the internet and they’re delivered, if you can believe that. They’re great people and I’m the one who pointed them to http://www.satellitestarinternet.com/ not too long ago to get internet for their house – mom was driving to and from the library about 3 times a week just to get her internet fix. Now at least they can check the news and whatnot from their own house and they don’t have to be out there driving around on the roads…that made me really nervous. I guess I should be thankful they’ve got a lot of interest in staying current but really I just wonder where they’re getting the money to buy all this stuff with at the end of the day!

Whitney Houston, who found fame as one of pop’s biggest voices, has died. She was 48.

Publicist Kristen Foster said Saturday that the singer had died.

The Beverly Hills Police Department responded to an emergency call at the Beverly Hills Hotel Saturday, Lt. Mark Rosen, of the Bevery Hills Police Department said.

Members of hotel staff and fire department officials attempted to revive a person on the fourth floor, who has since been confirmed to be Houston, Rosen said. 

Officials did not see obvious signs of criminal intent, and are currently investigating to determine the cause of death, he said. 

Houston’s death comes on the eve of the Grammys and on the night of Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy gala, at which she performed last year and was expected to attend this year.

No cause of death has been announced and law enforcement sources said the singer was found in a hotel room at the Beverly Hilton, where emergency medical personnel were called sometime Saturday.

The Hilton is the scene for Davis’ annual gala. On Thursday, Houston dropped by the rehearsals to offer vocal tips for Brandy and Monica, who were slated to be one of the evening’s headliners.

Press, including The Times, were in attendance for a junket with the reunited R&B divas and Davis. Though Houston greeted people her with a warm smile, she appeared disheveled in mismatched clothes and hair that was dripping wet with either sweat or water.

The visibly bloated singer displayed erratic behavior throughout the afternoon — flailing her hands frenetically as she spoke to Brandy and Monica, skipping around the ballroom in a child-like fashion and wandering aimlessly about the lobby. It was mentioned by a Grammy staffer that security personnel received calls of the singer doing handstands by the pool.

After leaving rehearsals, Houston returned to the ballroom — with her teenage daughter Bobbi Kristina in tow — as camera crews set up for interviews. The singer smelled of alcohol and cigarettes. A Grammy staffer said that during the interviews with Brandy, Monica and Clive, Houston was dancing just off camera to make the singers and Davis laugh. Grammy personnel expressed concern that she’d be caught on camera, and that reporters would write about her behavior.

Finally her daughter pulled Houston out of the room, and the singer skipped off. In our post of the event, we called Houston’s behavior “loose and lively.”

“She really loves and supports us both. For me, I went through a lot of very tumultuous moments and she would show up, not just with a phone call but physically when I needed,” Monica said when we asked about Houston coaching them. “That’s something that I’ve carried with me, especially with all that she’s been going through over the years herself. She’s never turned her back on the people she cared about.”

Later that evening Houston appeared at Hollywood nightclub Tru, for fellow R&B singer Kelly Price’s pre-Grammy party. “Kelly Price & Friends Unplugged: For the Love of R&B” served as both a celebration and a jam session to preserve that genre, which was scaled back from eight categories to four this year.

Houston was billed as one of the evening’s special invited guests but after her appearance earlier it was shocking to see the singer arrive. More put together in her appearance, Houston briefly sang a duet with Price. In what has become her final performance, clips of the two singing a gospel hymn made the rounds because of the singer’s unsteady vocals.

At her peak, Houston the golden girl of the music industry. From the middle 1980s to the late 1990s, she was one of the world’s best-selling artists. She wowed audiences with effortless, powerful, and peerless vocals that were rooted in the black church but made palatable to the masses with a pop sheen.

Her success carried her beyond music to movies, where she starred in hits like “The Bodyguard” and “Waiting to Exhale.”

She had the perfect voice, and the perfect image: a gorgeous singer who had sex appeal but was never overtly sexual, who maintained perfect poise.

Six-time GRAMMY winner Whitney Houston was one of the world’s greatest pop singers of all time who leaves behind a robust musical soundtrack spanning the past three decades.  Her powerful voice graced many memorable and award-winning songs. A light has been dimmed in our music community today, and we extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, fans and all who have been touched by her beautiful voice.

There were still kinks to be worked out last night at what David Lee Roth called “the final dress rehearsal” for Van Halen’s upcoming North American tour. Onstage at the Forum in Los Angeles, Roth happily admitted, “I forgot the fucking words!” halfway through “China Town,” one of several songs the legendary hard-rock outfit played from their brand-new studio album, A Different Kind of Truth. (“Get to the chorus,” the singer urged his band mates. “I know those words.”) But with just over a week before the tour kicks off next Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky, Van Halen seemed concerned with making a bigger-picture point last night: They were proving they’re ready to entertain arenas packed with hardcore fans.
 
Billed as a “Friends and Family” event, the 70-minute performance followed two earlier invite-only gigs, one in January at New York’s tiny Cafe Wha? and the other last week at L.A.’s Henson Studios. But this show was the reunited Van Halen’s first inside a venue as big as those they’ll be playing over the next four months, and they definitely took advantage of the Forum’s roomy dimensions – think confetti cannons, loads of high-def video and an enormous checkered flag like the one Roth waves in the clip for “Tattoo.” Clad in a succession of sparkly jackets and what appeared to be a pair of pleather yoga pants, the front man shimmied across the stage in full Diamond Dave mode; during “Everybody Wants Some!!” he even revived his old samurai-sword act. And though Alex and Wolfgang Van Halen declined to take solos last night, Eddie Van Halen offered up a typically virtuosic mini-concerto that reminded you of all the astonishing things he can still do on the guitar.
 
So what’d they play? Hits, of course: “You Really Got Me,” “Runnin’ with the Devil,” “Panama,” “Ice Cream Man.” They all sounded great, especially “Dance the Night Away,” with pitch-perfect vocal harmonies from Eddie and Wolfgang, and “Hot for Teacher,” which Roth introduced by tossing handfuls of chocolate coins into the crowd.
